More Blackwall Tunnel Closures

At a public meeting at the Vue Cinema on Saturday, Transport for London (TfL) announced further closures of the Blackwall Tunnel this year and next. The Northbound tunnel will be closed for the entire weekend from 21.00 on Friday until 05.00 on Monday on the following dates:–

• Friday 4 June to Monday 7 June
• Friday 9 July to Monday 12 July
• Friday 16 July to Monday 19 July
• Friday 10 September to Monday 13 September
• Friday 1 October to Monday 4 October

There will be further closures in 2011, though the dates have yet to be confirmed.

TfL also announced that the tunnel will be put back into full time use for the duration of the Olympic Games

There is conflicting advice on the TfL website about when the 108 service will be in service at night
