'The Westcombe Society have objected to the scale of the proposed development, in particular to the increase in height of the hotel resulting from the addition of a 4th storey. This addition has been made since the public consultation meetings due to the need for a larger hotel because of financial constraints. The extra storey means that the hotel will be visible above the existing buildings in King William Walk, Greenwich Church Street and College Approach when viewed from a distance. The Westcombe Society also expressed regret on the proposed loss of the cobbles and requested that they be retained in some way. Additional comments were made regarding the height of the canopy, traffic and some design features.'
